Nicotine patch Stop Smoking Aids

Jakarta , In addition there is a will of its users , it is hard to break the smoking habit . But now there are medications that can help smokers to quit the bad habit .
Researchers from the University of Pittsburgh found that nicotine patches can help smokers to completely recover from the habit.
" The clear implication is that you should not give up and stick with the patch , " said Saul Shiffman , one of the researchers of this study as reported by FoxNews , Thursday ( 03/06/2014 ) .
Generally , the people who give up on nicotine addiction in the middle of trying to quit smoking efforts actually are at the highest risk to give up and return to smoking .
But apparently smokers who continue to wear the patch failed and could not overcome the temptation to return to smoking , Shiffman said .
The study, published in the journal Addiction showed that in addition to helping people to quit smoking , nicotine patches can help smokers face temptation when trying to quit .
Experts say that most people who try to break the habit was initially successful , but it can not sustain its business in the long run .
" Koyo can help overcome temptation at this critical time , " said Shiffman .
In his research , Shiffman and teammate tested nicotine patches at eight locations throughout the United States .
More than 500 heavy smokers who want to quit even participate . Once registered , the smokers were receiving active nicotine patch inventory and patch placebo randomly .
At week 6 and 10 , participants answered questions about whether and when participants smoked again since following this experiment .
Having focused on participants who admitted smoking only once , in the first two weeks , the researchers found that active patch users were more able to deal with temptation than participants taking a placebo .
After 6 weeks , participants who wore the nicotine patch condition was 11 times better than participants taking a placebo patch to stop smoking .
At week 10 , nearly 10 percent of active patch users had reported not smoking anymore for at least a week , compared to 2-3 percent of placebo users .
However, because nicotine affects the nervous system , heart rate and blood pressure , most experts actually hinder the use of the patch while smoking to avoid an overdose of nicotine .
Nicotine patches are sold freely on the market . This patch is usually mounted on the arm and can reduce symptoms such as headache and nausea for those who want to quit smoking . This patch has a lower dose of nicotine than cigarettes and without any other extra chemicals .
