Heart Enemy Actually Not Fat, But Sugar and Carbohydrates

Jakarta , this time the enemy is deemed fat is better for the heart and reduced intake . Low-fat diet is considered to protect against heart attacks , obesity , and diabetes . However , is it so?
Recommendations low-fat diet was derived from the 1950 study scapegoat saturated fat . It is said that saturated fats are dangerous to health and should be reduced . But according to a leading scientist in the UK , such an assumption is actually wrong .
Low-fat diet can not keep heart disease or make a longer life . As reported by the Daily Mail and was written on Monday ( 03/10/2014 ) , the body is the enemy of sugar and carbohydrates .
" There is no convincing evidence that the low-fat diet has a positive effect on health . Fears public that saturated fat can raise cholesterol levels (bad ) not at all true , " said James DiNicolantonio , New York scientists who focus on researching heart .
The study data showed that the dreaded disease all over the world such as heart disease , diabetes , obesity , or intestinal disorders triggered by high consumption of carbohydrates or sugar . The study failed to show a link between saturated fat intake with risk of heart problems .
According DiNicolantonio , low-carbohydrate diet which is the opposite of the low-fat diet actually good for the balance of the body's cholesterol . The best combination to improve and maintain a healthy heart is to eat less refined carbohydrates , sugary foods , and processed foods .
In some Western countries , low-fat diet is no longer shared . Sweden is one of the pioneers who knocked away juah - low-fat diet myth . In these countries , it is recommended to do a diet low in carbohydrates and high in fat .
DiNicolantonio findings are supported by Brian Ratcliffe , professor of nutrition at the Robert Gordon University , Aberdeen. However, the idea was also to reap the rejection of Tom Sanders , a professor who is chief of the division of diabetes and nutrition at King's College London .
According to Sanders , the current dietary advice still makes sense . Dietary advice is meant is to avoid fatty meats , choose low-fat dairy products , limiting the intake of foods high in fat as well as sugar such as cakes , biscuits and puddings , also choose foods that contain unsaturated fats such as nuts , fish , and vegetable oils .
